POPPIES DANCE  is a collection inspired by and dedicated to my eldest daughter, who is the embodiment of joy in a two year old frame.
 
This body of work is led completely by curiosity. Totally unplanned. I wondered what it would be like to try and capture poppies (the flower-symbol for our daughter) in all of its wild and quirky angles. Staying true to what they are like in front of me rather than making them perform.
 
This is how I feel when I try to take pictures of my daughter. You don't have to ask her to pose, you don't need to wait for that perfect moment. Every moment is the perfect moment. Little children live life to the full, here and now. 
 
I want my daughter to be able to look back at this time-capsule in art form later on in life and know: "This is what mummy thought about me. That I am beautiful, and wonderful, the way that God created me."
 
This is also my encouragement to you (and first and foremost, to myself!) to not worry about the eyes of the world. But fix our eyes on the gaze of the One who loves us, the One who tells the truth, the One who gives us the confidence to dance.
