ART COLLECTIONS

Colours of the Promise

DURING THE PANDEMIC IN 2020, I FOUND MYSELF WRESTLING IN THE WILDERNESS WITH THE PROMISE-GIVER WHO PROMISED TO BE TRUE TO HIS WORD. DESPITE THE HOPELESSNESS THAT PRESSED HARD ON ME, I WAS HELD ONTO BY A LIGHT THAT BROUGHT IMPOSSIBLE COLOURS TO THESE HARSH,DRY DESERT ROADS.

THIS OIL PASTEL COLLECTION IS MY HEART SONGS IN THE MIDST OF DARKNESS - I RESOLVED TO NOT STOP SINGING THEM UNTIL THE PROMISE COMES. AND IT DID.

Hope of Dawn

THE NIGHT IS THE DARKEST BEFORE DAWN. WE ARE MOST VULNERABLE IN THE DEEPEST OF A LONG, COLD NIGHT, WHERE OUR SOULS BECOME WEARY IN THE WAITING. I WAS ONCE A WATCHER OF THE NIGHT WHO WAS TEMPTED TO GIVE UP IN EVERY WAY. BUT THE VOICE OF GOODNESS BECKONED ME, TO STAY AWAKE, JUST FOR A LITTLE LONGER. AND THE SUN EVENTUALLY DID RISE, ON THAT GLORIOUS MORN.

THIS WATERCOLOUR COLLECTION IS PAINTED ON FINE ART HANDMADE PAPER, FULL OF RUGGEDNESS AND TEXTURES. THEY ARE THE PERFECT BACKDROP FOR MY MELODIES OF PRAISE, EVEN BEFORE DAWN CAME.

Kind words from
our art collectors

"It is so much more beautiful in real life! I honestly cannot express how much I love it.

I invest in handmade, original art for so many reasons. I fundamentally believe cultivating beauty around us is really important and that art is a way of creating that beauty but also remembering important moments and expressing who we are.

For me original art, and especially pieces made on handmade paper, demonstrates the symbiotic relationship where an artist and a set enjoyed share a piece of their heart and life experience and continue to grow it.

The piece I bought from "Hope of Dawn" Collection documents my journey with God so far, and the promises He’s made for the future. It’s a reminder of the beauty in those wilderness times and how close He is. I know that the piece was also created from someone else’s wilderness experiences makes it a living Ebenezer."

- Laura from Liverpool, UK.

"My art wall in the living room should be constantly expanded.

The works of art that I choose should tell a story and be something special to me. For this reason I mainly support small artists like Bonny from The Ark."

- Lisa from Bad Honnef, Germany.
